I have a 110lb Akita mix "Hanaa" who has 2" thick hair. Flat collars look strange on her while metal slip collars pull and cut her hair.
The perfect solution is The Big Dogs' rolled leather slip collar which provides nice control on walks when she gets excited and disappears into her fur the rest of the time without causing damage.
