	What is Bikejoring? Bikejoring is another very effective way to exercise your dog while creating a great bond. The sport/activity is set up so that the dog is attached to a bicycle that you are on and able to pedal. Your dog is attached to the bicycle by means of a harness and lead line that is usually attached to a bungie to smooth out the ride and absorb the shock that occurs when you take off and speed up. When considering to go Bikejoring with your dog, take a few points into consideration: 1. Do I feel comfortable that my dog will listen to my commands while riding? 2. Will my dog deviate from the path because of natural distractions like people, or other animals? 3. Is my dog healthy enough or in good enough shape to start Bikejoring? 4. Do I have the correct equipment to ensure my dogs safety as well as my own while Bikejoring? 5. Am I prepared to have a ton of fun with my dog will out on the trails? After answering these questions, you should have a good idea of whether Bikejoring is for you and your active dog. This sport is much like Dog Scootering, except that the dog is attached to a bike and not a push scooter . Bikejoring is also comparable to Skijoring, except that of course there is no snow involved and there are usually less dogs involved in Dog Bikejoring.
